Anndivya (She/Her) is an artist and the founder of Migrant Maharanis, a zine dedicated to South Asian diaspora. Born to Samoan-Indian parents, Anndivya was raised in West Auckland and now lives in Wellington.
The diaspora community can often feel stuck between two worlds of Eastern & Western culture. The feeling that it can only be one or the other. By blending Eastern and Western iconography, this project pays tribute to the artist’s realisation that Eastern and Western cultures can exist simultaneously.
